Awake to birdsong, relax on the balcony, or curl up in front of the log burner during cosy nights in, all less than ten miles from the Scottish East coast city of Dundee. The perfect spot for couples, or for some peaceful downtime by yourself.

Rowanbank Cabin is designed to help you relax and escape from the real world. Tucked away in a beautiful and spacious garden, this completely secluded property will make you want to extend your stay indefinitely. Natural wood and light are features throughout the cabin bringing the outdoors inside, including a bedroom skylight and high-level bathroom window.

The main living area is a cosy living room/kitchen with sofas and a log burner, plus patio doors onto the large, enclosed balcony. You will be mesmerised by the long living room windows that spread light deep into this space, with views over the woodland garden, and further onto the second highest peak of the Sidlaws; Auchterhouse Hill. Choose this as an ideal starting point for a fantastic walk with panoramic views over Dundee, the River Tay and even further into the Kingdom of Fife.

Afterwards, you can return to the cosy haven of Rowanbank and curl up with a good book, or take advantage of fast broadband and Smart TV access.

The bedroom includes a king-sized bed that overlooks the woodland and beyond; ideal for pheasant & bird watching, squirrel spotting and if you’re lucky you might even catch a glimpse of deer – all over a morning cuppa before your day has even properly begun. As mentioned previously, the highlight of this room is the amazing roof light that allows for twice the light to flood in for longer, but even more perfectly it’s definitely the spot to ‘coory up’ under the covers for some star gazing on a clear night. Divine!

The spacious bathroom includes a modern walk-in rain shower and luxurious freestanding bath – what more could we possibly add to this haven to 100% guarantee perfection than an amazing bubble bath?

LOCATION
Rowanbank Cabin is in Kirkton of Auchterhouse, a few miles outside Dundee giving you access to beautiful countryside and the facilities of the city.

Hill walkers will enjoy the Sidlaws – especially Auchterhouse Hill, the Angus glens, and skiers are an hour away from Glenshee. Golfers can choose from local courses, or the world-famous links at St Andrews and Carnoustie. There are some fantastic mountain bike trails nearby, making Rowanbank Cabin the ideal base for an adventure.

Dundee has been transformed in recent years into a lively and cosmopolitan coastal city. With many exciting commercial and cultural attractions, including the V&A Dundee museum, historic ships and urban beach along the banks of the Tay as well as theatres and shopping areas.

Dundee has excellent road and rail links to the other Scottish cities, and the domestic airport has direct flights to London and Belfast.
